Does this sound like BS to anyone? I asked her if Tracker modified the parts or if Tie Down used different parts to suit the tracker trailers, and she was somewhat evasive. She said the internal parts are different and I would need to purchase from a Tracker dealer or else I could have problems with the brakes freezing up. The part looks exact, but I called Tie down with a question and they said this will not work on a Tracker. I purchased a master cylinder rebuild kit from an online retailer that matched: Tie Down part #48756 for drum brakes. Five Star Boat Trailers LLC in Apollo Beach FL - Company Profile Replacement Surge Brake Parts for 2004 5 Starr WebChampion Trailers provides parts. The sticker on trailer says Tie Down 70lc actuator 7000lbs. When your tow vehicle stops, the trailer pushes into the tow vehicle, compressing the master cylinder that is located inside the actuator, forcing fluid to the drum or disc brakes. If your trailer is equipped with hydraulic surge brakes, the brakes are activated by the surge actuator/coupler located at the front end of the trailer tongue. Check with and for new and rebuild parts. There are also several major online shopping sources for trailstar parts. Trailstar boat trailer parts (like the trailstar roller guide or plexiglass boat windshields) can be found at Tracker dealers around the country. It has surge style brakes and the master cylinder is leaking badly.
I have 2005 Tahoe with a matched Tracker trailer.
